What is the Arbitration Center?
The Arbitration Center is an organization operated by the Dai-Ichi Tokyo Bar Association, which is an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) organization where the procedures for resolution of disputes that cannot be resolved through negotiations between parties are carried out through an arbitrator, etc.
Arbitrator, etc., participates as a neutral third party and resolves a dispute by finding a compromise (settlement) through an agreement between parties or presenting resolution criteria related to the dispute (arbitration award) after hearing from both parties thoroughly. Experienced lawyers, former judges and academic experts, etc., are appointed arbitrators, etc.
Arbitration procedures are not open to the public unlike trials and it is possible to reach a flexible and satisfactory resolution more promptly than a trial.
At the Arbitration Center of the Dai-Ichi Tokyo Bar Association, a third party in a neutral position who participates in the settlement procedures is referred to as the "person to be an arbitrator" and a third party in a neutral position who participates in the arbitration procedures is referred to as "arbitrator" and here they are collectively referred to as the "arbitrator, etc."
2) Session Fee
Each party shall pay \5,400 for each arbitration session.
3) Conclusion Fee
If settlement or arbitration is concluded, the economic interest amount indicated as the resolution amount shall be borne by the parties agreed or determined in the procedures.
